Lanvin (Literally) Beats It Out In Fall-Winter Ad Campaign

This must be my most favorite ad campaign of the season, not because of the models or collection but the video that came with it. Photographed by Steven Meisel, Raquel Zimmermann and Karen Elson bust a move for Lanvin's Fall/Winter 2012 campaign, which sees the duo dancing in a luxurious setting in elegant, feminine designs.
In the must-see video, both models dance to a song by Pitbull, as well as several male models who wear the label's menswear collection and even Lanvin Creative Director Alber Elbaz who also shows off his moves in the unique campaign video, brilliantly pieced together by Meisel. Refreshing indeed!

Hailee Steinfeld As MIU MIU New Face

Tobey Maguire is former Mr Spiderman who assumes the role of Prada boy this winter. Miu Miu also chose her Fall-Winter campaign, another star, the young American actress Hailee Steinfeld.
Aesthetically impeccable, the Bruce Weber photographed images took place mostly outdoors, green grass or trees used as decoration and embodying the simply need to return to nature. The figure is draped with Miu Miu dresses, skirts inspired by years from 30s to 40s, and of course, those amazing glitter shoes; the season's IT shoes.
However, from my very own perspective, Hailee is a bit too young (14!!!) and in this shoot she reminds me of Dorothy and her magical red shoes though. Anyway, speaking about the shoes..  Glitter is back with a vengeance next Fall ladies! Watch out for anything SPARKLING!!

Stack It Up

2011 Fall Trend Recap

Fashion famously works in cycles; what goes in must come out, and vice versa. And no matter how much we still love the color-blocking trend or the all-white look, summer is soon to be over.
And if you think fall is just about layers and warmth, take a look at 2011 fall trend recap below.
The new collections came in happy hues and the-bolder-the-better brights, some new takes on old favorites that'll have you looking at your wardrobe in a whole new way.

Brightly Coloured Pants
Yigal Azrouel, Karen Walker, Prabal Gurung, 3.1 Philip Lim
Whether they were cropped, flared, tapered, or high-waisted, the hottest shapes of the season also came in super-saturated hues, perfectly for punching up the clean silhouettes for fall.

Leather Skirts
Rachel Comey, Tommy Hilfiger, Vena Cava, Marc Jacobs
Designers found a new way to wear the leather skirt, and paired it with casual-chic tops like heather-gray button-ups and sweatshirt-like sweaters.

Tuxido Dressing
Rag & Bone, Thakoon, Band of Outsiders, Chris Benz
The white shirt, black bottom, and black neckpiece never looked so femme-fatale as on the fall '11 runways.

Graphic Tartans
Rag & Bone, Thakoon, Band of Outsiders, Chris Benz
Plaids and tartans went big and bold this fall, with designers finding more inspiration from in-your-face rustic weaves than the understated checks of seasons past.

High Slits
Jenni Kayne, Preen, Altuzara, Jeremy Laing
Dresses may have veered more on the conservative side, but a healthy dose of sexiness was still preserved with hip-grazing slits.

The Great Length
BCBG Maxazria, Proenza Schouler, Narciso Rodriguez, Marc by Marc Jacobs
Hemlines were still long this season, but we're finding more and more to love from the mid-calf lengths than ever before. In cool metallics, graphic mixed prints, and with menswear tailoring, these full-coverage skirts got a whole lot more sexy.

The Muse in White

If you're spending your entire life in blogosphere (like I do), it's hardly that you wouldn't know Denni aka ChicMuse. She's one of the most unique and popular bloggers we've ever known. Denni's effing fabulous style and her super sexy pose is something worth noting. With her signature long hair, super thick cat eyeliner and red lips, Denni has never ever failed to pull off any of the hottest trends! And lately my muse seems to love fall in love with the "total white", one of the big thing this season. And she nailed it absolutely right!
