Spring Trend: Hanging Tassel

While it's been a constant to see the odd, small tassel on leather accessories like handbags and purses, we're now seeing them prominently - oversized, extra long, brightly coloured or made to stand out in some way.  And it's no longer just handbags: for Spring 2011 they're on everything from shoes to dresses to belts and hats.

Spring Trend: Bright and Bold

Much like polka dots and plaids, classic stripes are a thing of beauty. And while we'll always have a closet full of black-and-white or blue-and-white iterations, right now we've got brighter stripes on our minds, specifically the cheerful bubblegum styles shown on some of our favorite spring runways.

Borrowed From the Boys

Actually, I'm a skirt type of girl. I also love wearing short shorts but have been so dreadful of wearing jeans or long pants in fear that they would make me look like a dwarf. However, my taste seems to change lately. Currently, I'm so madly in love with pants whether pleated or flare, especially when they come in camel colour and earth tone as seen on Chloe' and Gucci FW 2010 runways. So inspiring !!

Look at these people.. How sophisticated and elegant !!

It's Worth Every Penny

Penny loafers are a classic style of shoes that can be worn at nearly any age. With the return of retro 50s glamour this upcoming fall, designers from Marc Jacobs to Christian Louboutin have given a nod to this slip-on shoe. The key to wearing penny loafers is to keep things sleek and simple, with modern updates to make them in tune with the times.

Penny loafers are a great alternative to ballet flats, as they offer the same means of fashion and function, but won't be spotted on every other woman when you're out and about. And here are some style icons we've seen comfortably rocking the shoes here and there.
