Resort Recap Part 3

Christian Dior
Even with the departure of creative director John Galliano, the design team of Christian Dior is still holding down the fancy fort. From exotic prints to mod cuts, Christian Dior Resort 2012 collection offers a bit of everything while keeping the vacationing spirit alive. Although being toned down in its over-the-board designs, all the looks are super chic, elegant and more practical that those of Dior in the previous days. Who says simplicity is just that simple?

Sonia Rykiel
Pretty and playful as in every seasons, Sonia Rykiel Resort 2012 includes basic colors of black, bold pink plus a great mix of florals and polka dot prints.

“I call this the Glam collection,” said Nathalie Rykiel, president and artistic director of the house. “It’s the quintessential Rykiel look: cool, sophisticated and elegant.”

Balmain
While Dior decided to keep it simple with its resort collection, the legacy of Olivier Decarnin lives on for Balmain. The first ladies' collection designed by Olivier Rousteing still looks edgy and flirty featuring the brand's signature flare.
