Gucci is turning 90 this year, but she doesn't look a day over 25 for the resort 2012 collection. It's all about gold, nude, and colorblocking. I'm drooling over the white plain shirt and gold skirts in all shapes!

What was on your mind when you first saw models strutting down the runway in that rich, jewel-toned collection? True, there were hints that colour blocking would make the biggest trend this season as it was everywhere in Spring-Summer shows , but the strong colour pattern Frida Giannini has chosen for her collection is a strike. Not to my surprise, items from this Spring collection have landed on 50 covers so far this season, trailed by Prada and Dolce & Gabbana with 48 and 42, respectively. Against glossy plain background, the collection looks even more awwwwesome! Have a look at some of them!

As it celebrates the 90 years of achievement, Gucci goes back to the 70's look with extra wide trousers, brimmed hats and flowy long evening gowns, inspired by American actress Angelica Huston and Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine. What I love most is the bold colours in such perfect combination and at least we know the glamorous 70's trend is not going anytime soon.
