Sweet Candy Story

There's still a few days to go until Paris Fashion Week closes its curtain but I really can't fight the urge to work on a trend recap of next season's color. They were just Too refreshing! So now here's the idea of what you'll need to buy for your spring wardrobe. It might be a bit early, but hey, can you resist it?

Hey Baby, Show Me Your Belly

Versace

Normally, it's too early for me to start writing about spring trends while fall just kicked start. It made me confused when shopping for clothes for the current season. Like last time I was thinking about buying a burgundy top, but then a little voice in my head said "hey dude! you have two burgundy skirts sitting in your closet, that's enough for fall! It's all about pastel next season!" As a result, I walked away with nothing.

Anyway, here's one of the next big things coming to town in spring-summer 2012. Bandeau top has been seen all over the runway from New York to Milan. They can be worn solely with high waist skirt or under blazer. Not hiding under sheer top, they are detailed and meant to be seen.

Tangerine Obsession

ORANGE, the color of the season and Maxi skirt, the hottest item on every runways, and Voila! The IT skirt of the season!! Jil Sander twill peplum skirt is dominating magazine editorials here and there. Worn with plain t-shirt, it brings coolness, and modern look to a heavy-elaborate looking couture piece.

Pretty Pleats

Speaking about street-style snappers, Tommy Ton of Jak&Jil might have definitely come up on top of the list. Tommy is prominent in accentuating the beauty of clothes, accessories, shoes, bags and the matching of overall outfits. But today, let me introduce another favorite street photographer of mine, Vanessa Jackman.. Go into her blog and you will see what the real beauty is all about. Vanessa is best at captivating the natural beauty of the clothes' wearers. You can see not only women in fashionable outfits, but those whose confidence and happiness are being reflected in the eyes, smiles and gestures. I'm not saying which photographer is better than the other. I just want to share another great experience with you all :D Taking a look at some pictures below, all the girls I chose look stunning in their pleated skirts, don't you agree?

Gucci Wins Spring Cover Race

What was on your mind when you first saw models strutting down the runway in that rich, jewel-toned collection? True, there were hints that colour blocking would make the biggest trend this season as it was everywhere in Spring-Summer shows , but the strong colour pattern Frida Giannini has chosen for her collection is a strike. Not to my surprise, items from this Spring collection have landed on 50 covers so far this season, trailed by Prada and Dolce & Gabbana with 48 and 42, respectively. Against glossy plain background, the collection looks even more awwwwesome! Have a look at some of them!

PRIMARY

Taking vibrant color blocking cues from our favorite SS' 11 collection by the likes of Jil Sander, Miu Miu, Prada and Gucci, Katie Shillingford styled Swedish sensation Theres Alexandersson for Dazed and Confused's January issue. I love how each color stands out despite such dramatic make-up. Well, Spring is officially here, what combination is your favorite?

Spring Trend: Hanging Tassel

While it's been a constant to see the odd, small tassel on leather accessories like handbags and purses, we're now seeing them prominently - oversized, extra long, brightly coloured or made to stand out in some way.  And it's no longer just handbags: for Spring 2011 they're on everything from shoes to dresses to belts and hats.

Spring Trend: Bright and Bold

Much like polka dots and plaids, classic stripes are a thing of beauty. And while we'll always have a closet full of black-and-white or blue-and-white iterations, right now we've got brighter stripes on our minds, specifically the cheerful bubblegum styles shown on some of our favorite spring runways.

From MBMJ to Prada, the catwalks were bursting with a selection of stripes from bold to skinny, bold and electric – anything goes.

Spring Trends We Love

Colour Blocking
Not just bright.. wearing unmatched colour is the coolest trend this Spring !! I love how it rocks on Jill Sander, Gucci and Louis Vuitton runways.

Spring Colour Trend

Leaving your black & white and all those camel pieces back in your closet cuz this coming Spring is going to be brightest than Ever! Here's the time to add some sweetness on your body with Honeysuckle Pink, the colour of Spring 2011 as chosen by Pantone, the world’s color authority, followed by most prominent colour on Spring runways like Orange. Blue and Yellow in various hues are alternatives for those who don't like it too girlish, or just taking a break from all that jazz by wearing head-to-toe white outfit, that's the biggest trend this Spring!
Don't know how to work Spring looks? Here's the guides!!
